CALIFORNIA EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE
Serves as Chapter liaison on the committee to plan and produce the HSMAI California Educational Conference in conjunction with the LA, San Diego, and Orange County HSMAI Chapters. COMMUNICATIONS – The Buzz
Responsible for the editorial content of “The Buzz” quarterly newsletter. Develops a positive image and presence for the chapter within the hospitality and general communities. Keeps HSMAI Headquarters informed of significant accomplishments by the Chapter or Chapter members. Gains publicity for the chapter and its programs. FUNDRAISING - CHAIR & COMMITTEE POSITIONS ARE OPEN
Secures donations and raffle prizes for fundraising events and coordinates sale of raffle tickets at chapter events. Works with the Chapter Board to develop, market and produce fundraising event(s) for the Chapter and HSMAI Foundation. HOSPITALITY
Provides an environment at all chapter events to make attendees feel welcome and comfortable. Assists in preparing name badges for meeting attendees. Helps staff the registration desk at all Chapter events. and assists with collection of registration fees and raffle ticket sales. INTERACTIVE & SOCIAL MEDIA – Web Site

Assists the Vice President of Education in the coordination of monthly programs. May contact venues, help select topics, recommend and secure speakers, and assist in coordinating program details. SPONSORSHIP

STUDENT RELATIONS - CHAIR POSITION IS OPEN
